“ Deep purple. Nose is a full mingle of plum, blackberry, dark cherry and pepper. Rich and full in the mouth yet well balanced and elegant. Soft, silky flow across the palate. Fine tannins and lively acidity. Good oak support. Long, keen finish” |

(= a marvellous wine that is so close to the top it almost doesn't matter ) |
“Although its been barrel fermented, 25 percent in new French oak, this is a more subtle Chardonnay than most. The nose has fine fruit characters,
reminiscent of nectarines, grapefruit and green lime. There's also a honeyed touch and oak is a restrained dressing. In the mouth it's smooth and silky in
texture with very fine fruit and minerally flavours that last long and fragrant. A welcome alternative to the big sunshiny chardonnays, this suits steamed scampi with Chinese seasonings well.” |
